Statement to the Administration Committee on the entry requirements for third-country nationals

The Finnish Union of University Professors believes it is justified that third-country students should be granted a residence permit for the entire duration of their degree studies via one application round. Furthermore, the Union supports extending the validity of the residence permit for job-seeking and entrepreneurial activities.

As a reminder, the Union also emphasises that increasing the number of international students will require resources.
