Statement to Universities Finland UNIFI on the translation of the title of Docent

According to the Finnish Union of University Professors, the English translation ‘Associate Professor’ cannot be used as a translation for the title of docent (dosentti in Finnish). It is the Union’s opinion that the appropriate translation is Docent.
