The General Meeting of the Union was held on 11.10.2024

The General Meeting of the Union was held on 11.10.2024 – on the 55th Anniversary of the Union. In connection with the meeting, Professor Vili Lehdonvirta from Aalto University gave a presentation in Finnish titled Where does artificial intelligence live? Global political geography of data centers. The meeting elected the Union Council for 2025–2026. Jukka Pellinen (University of Jyväskylä) was elected Chair and Anne Juppo (University of Helsinki) was elected Vice Chair of the Council.

At the end of the meeting, the 55th Anniversary of the Finnish Union of University Professors and the new Directory of Professors were celebrated.
